Saint Timothy's Faith Fund

Basic facts: The Faith Fund is an endowment created by the St. Timothy's Vestry to assist in fulfilling our mission by providing funds for our ministries and capital needs for generations to come. The endowment is overseen by a Vestry appointed endowment committee, and the funds are managed by the Episcopal Church Foundation through State Street Global Advisors.

The Faith Fund has two endowment components: a Permanent Endowment fund and a General Endowment fund. The Permanent Endowment Fund is restricted by law, limiting annual spending, to insure it is held in perpetuity. The General Endowment Fund is managed with the same guidelines but with the flexibility for additional spending in an emergency with approval of the Vestry.

You can make a gift today by cash or check made out to St. Timothy's Faith Fund. There are many other ways to make a gift, some of which include significant tax benefits. Designating the church as a beneficiary or making a transfer from your IRA are two of the easiest ways to make a gift. Many other options are available. Please consult your professional tax, financial, and legal advisors to help you identify the type of gift that works best for you.

The Episcopal Church has long been recognized for its red doors with connections of deep meaning ranging from the marked doors of the Passover to symbols of safe harbor for people in need. The Faith Fund is focused on keeping our red doors open for generations to come. That is why we proudly recognize participants in the Red Door Society.

One of the most important tools used to grow an endowment is publicly recognizing donors. No amounts are ever listed but the opportunity to see who has made a commitment to support the church inspires others to do the same.

With their permission, those who choose to make a gift of any amount to the Faith Fund now, or who have made arrangements for a gift to be made in the future, become members of the Red Door Society.
