The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina (the Food Bank) is a nonprofit organization that has provided food for our friends and neighbors facing hunger in 34 counties in central and eastern North Carolina for over 40 years. The Food Bank is an affiliate member of Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger relief charity. Giving is one of the most important spiritual practices we can develop. When we make a gift we bestow a since of value on the receiver, we recognize something of value within our own lives, and when times are lean, making a gift can be one of the only ways to free us from the fear of not having enough. Pledging is an important part of your spiritual life because it is a way of saying, "I don't know what lies ahead, but I am putting God first and I have faith there will be enough for everything else." Pledging is also important to the church because it is the only way we can make a responsible budget and then fund our mission and ministries.
