Tedi Bear Child Advocacy

The TEDI BEAR Children’s Advocacy Center is the largest children’s advocacy center in North Carolina and is accredited to provide a full spectrum of assessment, treatment, education, and prevention to for children up to 18 years old who may have been victims of child abuse or neglect.

There are two ways you can help. 1.) Attend a Stewards of Children training to help learn to prevent, recognize, and respond to child sexual abuse 2.) Donate stuffed animals, playdooh, or markers to the center. Every child that comes to TEDI BEAR chooses a stuffed animal to take with them. Animals can be ‘gently used’ but should look and smell clean. Playdooh and markers are used during forensic interviews and must be continually replaced. Donations can be dropped off at the center M-F, 8am-5pm.

Register for one of their monthly Stewards of Children trainings on their ‘training and tours’ tab of their website https://tedibear.ecu.edu
