Giving is one of the most important spiritual practices we can develop. When we make a gift we bestow a since of value on the receiver, we recognize something of value within our own lives, and when times are lean, making a gift can be one of the only ways to free us from the fear of not having enough. It's simple math, if I have something that I can give away, be that 10 minutes of help or two dollars to share, that means I have been blessed with more than I need.

Pledging is an important part of your spiritual life because it is a way of saying, "I don't know what lies ahead, but I am putting God first and I have faith there will be enough for everything else." Pledging is also important to the church because it is the only way we can make a responsible budget and then fund our mission and ministries. Men’s Social: March 16th at 6:30pm

Our speaker for the Men’s Social on March 16, 6:30 PM in the parish hall will be Rich Zeck, director of the Pitt County Council on Aging. Dinner will be chicken pastry: Rich has lead the Council on Aging for the last eight years. During that time the Council on Aging has experienced unbelievable growth. The Council on Aging has been serving Pitt County’s older adult population since 1975. The COA is a mission focused, non-profit agency, serving seniors and their families so the aging population can be healthier and more independent. The COA operates 6 Senior Wellness Centers, across Pitt county, as well as the Community Center on County Home Road. The COA offers Programs & Activities, Nutritional Services like Meals on Wheels, Medicare Counseling, Healthy Aging & Injury Prevention and Aging Services and much more. Zeck’s personal faith journey and purpose is to follow the example of James and Timothy’s instructions to care for the widows.
