Men’s Social: January 19th

Our next Men’s Social will be held on Thursday, January 19, 6:30 p.m. in the parish hall. Dinner will be chili served over spaghetti. The guest speaker will be Major General Kurt Ryan. A resident of Aurora, North Carolina, Kurt is an Eagle Scout and Episcopalian. At his retirement in 2021 Kurt had served in the U. S Army for 34 years. He retired as the Assistant Chief of Staff for the U. S. Army. Recently he has served as the director of BSA Pamlico Sea Base and just completed the strategic plan for the City of Aurora.
During his service he mastered the complexities of logistics operations with assignments across the globe, and diverse cultural experiences in nearly 50 countries, in support of national defense. Some of his commands include Expeditionary Sustainment Command, U.S. Army Ordnance Corps and Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command. He also served in the 101st Airborne Division and 10th Mountain Man Brigade. General Ryan will talk about his experiences and relate them to situations in the world today.
