Episcopal Church Women (ECW)

Vision: We are Episcopal Church Women, committed to one another and called to witness for Christ. Our challenge is to provide a safe place where every woman is free to become the person Christ called her to be. We are called. We are different. We are one body.

Mission: To make our vision a reality, the Episcopal Church Women of East Carolina must engage, mobilize, and support the women of our Diocese to ensure we have the means to go out into the world rejoicing in the power of the spirit and serving the Lord.

The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) meets the second Tuesday each month from September through May. The ECW has been honored to sponsor, support and assist in funding projects within our parish as well as needs in our local community. Past projects have included preparing meals to store in the freezer for our Unseen Guest group, assisting at the JOY Soup Kitchen, supporting the Episcopal Relief and Development (ERD), and providing Christmas gifts to residents at the Oak Haven Assisted Living and children in foster care. We support each other in fellowship through an annual White Elephant Gift Exchange in December and a Women’s Dinner in May.

All women in the Episcopal Church are part of the ECW and we encourage ladies to join us in our projects.

Give Now Pledge

Giving is one of the most important spiritual practices we can develop. When we make a gift we bestow a since of value on the receiver, we recognize something of value within our own lives, and when times are lean, making a gift can be one of the only ways to free us from the fear of not having enough. It's simple math, if I have something that I can give away, be that 10 minutes of help or two dollars to share, that means I have been blessed with more than I need.

Give Now

Ascribe the the Lord the honor due his name. Bring offerings and come into his courts. - From Psalm 96, verse 8

Pledging is an important part of your spiritual life because it is a way of saying, "I don't know what lies ahead, but I am putting God first and I have faith there will be enough for everything else." Pledging is also important to the church because it is the only way we can make a responsible budget and then fund our mission and ministries. If everyone participates, even small gifts can get us where we need to go. Can you make a gift of faith and help St. Timothy's by pledging?
