News & Events: Lobster Fair

Save the date...October 27, 2018
10:00 am- 3:00 pm
Last year we raised over $15,000 for Outreach

Since our first Lobster Fair in 1978, St. Timothy's has shared over 65,000 lobsters with friends and neighbors in the Greenville area. This annual Fall event engages essentially all parishioners in some aspect. All net proceeds are used for support of Parish Outreach programs... $148,000 since 2008 and probably more than $350,000 since we started.

Put in perspective, we've sold around 40 tons of lobsters, or the equivalent of a couple of school buses...or a humpback whale.

Because we donate every cent we make, your enjoyment over the years has translated into thousands of meals at the JOY Soup Kitchen; funds to provide services for children and the elderly; and better care for the homeless at the Community Crossroads Shelter.

NEW Payment Options!

You no longer need to keep up with tickets for your purchases - simply pick up your lobsters at the fair using your full name! We will email you the week of the fair to remind you to pick up your lobsters on Saturday.

Fresh Maine Lobsters

Delivered fresh from Maine on the day before the Fair, our 1-¼-lb. lobsters are the highlight of the Fair. Order lobsters in advance for live or freshly steamed lobsters at $16 each.

Cooked lobsters are steamed on the premises the day of the Fair by members of the parish. Steamer Meals (whole lobster, with sides of corn on the cob, slaw and fries) are $20. Back this Year: Peel & Eat Shrimp Steamer Meal: 1 lb of shrimp, with sides of corn, slaw and fries for $20. And our food court will have the traditional hot dogs, hamburgers, fries and cold drinks, as well as slaw and other sides if you want to dine under the BigTop on site.

Starting at 9:00 you can satisfy your non-lobster cravings at the Bake Sale with mouth-watering items and stock up on your favorite casseroles at the Frozen Foods Bazaar:    Baked Ziti with Sausage; Broccoli Supreme; Chicken Enchilada; Chicken Salad; Chicken Supreme; Clam Chowder; Egg Frittata Muffins; Lasagna with Meat Sauce; Chicken Tetrazzini; Coq au Vin; Sausage Breakfast Casserole; Shrimp Chowder; Southwestern Chicken Soup; Vegetable Beef Soup and Pimento Cheese ;>}

Fun, Fun, Fun Activities!

Children's Activities will be available throughout the duration of the fair, including bouncy house, hay ride, model train exhibit, face painting and more. Passes are $3/child over 2 years old

Please Lend Your Support

Volunteers are always welcome!

If baking is more your style, prepare your favorite desserts for the Bake Sale, or create casseroles and other frozen delights for the Frozen Foods Bazaar. Assistance with planning and coordinating children's activities is always welcome, too.

Selling lobsters is vital to our Fair's success — sell to friends and neighbors, or plan a lobster party! Everyone should try to sign up for a couple of hours — it's a great way to experience the fellowship of St. Timothy's!
