EYC

The Episcopal Youth Community (EYC) of St. Timothy's invites children who are in grades 6-12 to gather and worship each Sunday night from 5-7pm. We offer a variety of opportunities for the youth of the church to be active and participate in both in-reach and outreach. On a typical Sunday night the youth gather to play games before having a small discussion, followed by dinner. We assist in various outreach projects that include Operation Christmas Child and Stop Hunger Now. Each summer we organize and hold a local mission trip that assists those within our surrounding counties. Our group is also actively involved with the Episcopal Farmworkers Ministry in Newton Grove, NC.

WeeYC

WeeYC, a new program for children who are in grades 3-5, was started in 2014. This new program at St Tomothy's intends to build a relationship between the children within these grade levels as well as establish a relationship between the children and the youth director. WeeYC meets once a month for a few hours each visit. We gather for fun, food, and fellowship! Allowing the younger grades to meet and grow friendships amongst their peers sets the foundation for transitioning into EYC.

Calling All Volunteers!

The St. Timothy's Youth Groups are not just for the youth and parents of youth! Kids of all ages are asked to share their faith with our youth, to learn about the youth in their personal and church life, as well as to soak up some adolescent energy and positivity.

You can volunteer by:

Cooking dinner

We meet almost every Sunday evening and eat dinner, so if you can cook (or order) a simple meal for 5-10 people, you're our volunteer.

Chaperoning

When we meet on Sundays, we need adults to hang out with us. If you can sit in a chair and watch, you're our volunteer.

Serving

We do several outreach projects and need donations of time and talent to make them work. If you can pack a bag, write a note, donate needed supplies, or supervise, you're our volunteer.

Getting Involved

We have several key adults that help the EYC lead our Local Mission Trip. If you can chaperone, prepare and serve food, drive, or sleep on the floor, you're our volunteer.
